DodomaThe Government through the Ministry of Health, Social Development, Gender, Elderly and Children in collaboration with TANROADS Road Agency is in the process of establishing a state-of-the-art emergency rescue system.
This was stated by the Minister of Health, Social Development, Gender, Elderly and Children when Mr Ummy Master presented the implementation of the number three goal (HEALTH AND SAFETY) among the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) for Committee members Parliamentary Permanent Service and Community Development At a meeting hall in Dodoma City.
Minister Ummy Mwalimu said “This system aims to help fight emergencies or disasters when they occur and to facilitate rapid access to services and we will start with 7 emergency service centers on the highway from Dar Es Salaam Province to Ruaha Mbuyuni Iringa Region. .
He has named emergency care centers which will be established as Kimara Health Center (TTM), Tumbi Hospital, Chalinze Health Center (PWANI), Fule Clinic (Mikese Morogoro), Morogoro Regional Referral Hospital, St. Mary's Hospital.Kizito (Mikumi, Morogoro) with Ruaha Clinic Back in Darajani (Iringa)
"We have been able to buy 12 ambulance vehicles which we will dispose of in emergency care centers" said Minister Ummy and continued "we are still aiming to add three fire extinguishers capable of lifting and cutting off vehicles to rescue casualties and provide service to the area. event ”
In addition, Minister Ummy has said that already 272 providers have been trained in emergency and rescue services provided by the University of Health and Shared Science, of which 1212 are the basic provider and 160 are service providers at the Village level.
Commenting on the system, Ludewa State MP Hon. Deo Ngalawa congratulated the Ministry of Health for coming up with a system that would save the lives of many Tanzanians while using the opportunity to urge the Government to ensure that the system spreads to all parts of the highway in order to help access emergency rescue services.
Mr Ummy said they had started with the area first because it had the impact of numerous accidents compared to other areas, saying it was a sustainable plan and would continue all over the country's highways while saying that the system would be launched by the end of 2019
